Course: Introduction to computer programming for kids (Level 1)

This course is designed to introduce children to the basic concepts of programming. Students will learn how to give commands to computers, learn how computers process these commands, and develop foundational understanding that will prepare them for further learning of other programming languages.

This course will promote body syntonic reasoning in children, and progress their mental development by improving reasoning and planning skills through understanding facts and recognizing constraints. Further, this as a preparatory course to help children understand ideas such as recursions or algorithms.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Read and write LOGO codes
  • Conceptualize the LOGO script required to produce the end-result
  • Recognize requirements and constraints
  • Understand basic loops in programming

Course: Adobe Photoshop for Beginners

Course: Adobe Illustrator for Beginners

The two courses are designed to introduce students to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, respectively.

The Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator) is an industry standard raster graphics editor, where literacy is currently universally accepted as a technical skill. Thus, this is a very important skill to acquire at a young age.

This course will let your child's creative mind express themselves through a digital canvas. Through interactive and engaging projects, children will enjoy learning and easily understand the different features, functions, and uses of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.

Further, the students will gain a very valuable skill that will make their future coursework assignments and projects presentable.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Navigate through the program
  • Edit photos
  • Create illustrations

Introduction to Web Design (includes Photoshop, HTML, and CSS)

Building on the knowledge from the Adobe Photoshop course, students will learn additional program tools to design a website. Students will also be introduced to the fundamentals of HTML and CSS coding to create their very own websites.
